Artisanal Oud Oils

Ceyloni 2026

Ceyloni 2026 is the kind of oud oil that, for me, captures exactly what Sri Lankan oud should be. It has the depth, clarity and character of the highest-grade Ceyloni wood, almost as if you are smelling a fine piece of Sri Lankan oud chip rather than an oil. Powerful, refined and unmistakably Ceyloni.

The Story

Ceyloni 2026 — story 01

If there is one oud oil that represents what I am trying to achieve through NUHOUD, it is this one.

Ceyloni 2026.

The agarwood comes from the region around Adam’s Peak and Kitulgala in Sri Lanka, and the quality of wood I select for this distillation is something I rarely see being put inside a distillation pot.

This is not wood I buy simply because it can produce oil.

I look for the kind of high-grade Ceyloni agarwood that I would normally want to burn and enjoy on charcoal.

That makes every batch difficult.

Finding enough material at this level is never guaranteed. Sometimes I have to wait. Sometimes the wood simply isn’t available. And when I do find the right material and distill another batch, keeping the finished oil in stock has become just as difficult.

It is one of my fastest-moving oud oils, and very often, it is simply unavailable.

But I don’t want to lower the grade of the wood just to make more of it.

Because the entire reason Ceyloni exists is the wood.

When you first apply the oil, there is a beautiful brightness and powderiness to the opening, together with an almost aquatic character that gives the oil an unexpected sense of clarity.

Then the oud begins to show itself.

And this is where Ceyloni becomes very personal to me.

If you have ever smelled truly high-grade Sri Lankan agarwood slowly burning over charcoal, you will understand the character I am talking about.

That is the smell I wanted inside the bottle.

Not an interpretation of Ceyloni oud.

Not an exaggerated oud profile.

The smell of exceptional Ceyloni wood itself, transformed into oil.

Of all the Ceyloni oils I have experienced and distilled, this is the one I consider my finest. It is also my personal favourite.

I could make more Ceyloni oud oil if I compromised on the material.

I would rather make less.

Every bottle begins with finding wood rare enough to deserve the distillation.

And until I find it again, there simply isn’t another batch.

Ceyloni 2026. From wood to oil, without compromise.
